Bask in the sun, play in the sand and swim in the warm shallow waters at the Port of Everett’s Jetty Island. This hidden waterfront gem offers the longest sandy beach in the Puget Sound with an untouched natural beauty — a rarity in the Pacific Northwest.
The island is open to visitors year-round by personal watercraft, or you can catch a ride on the foot ferry to the island during Jetty Island Days from July 5 thru Sept. 1. Jetty Island Days is provided in partnership by the Port of Everett, City of Everett and Snohomish County, bringing more than 50,000 people to the island every summer season.

Edgewater Beach
OPEN DAILY; CLOSED DUSK - DAWN
Explore shoreline access at Edgewater Beach along the South Everett/Mukilteo border. This community favorite offers a quaint beach with a lot to see, including cargo operations at the Port's Mount Baker Terminal to the north and multi-modal passenger activity to the south with the Washington State Ferry dock and commuter rail terminal.
While the beach is now operated and maintained by the City of Mukilteo, the Port of Everett constructed Edgewater Beach as a habitat mitigation project for the construction of the Port's neighboring Mount Baker Terminal — a satellite shipping facility that supports the local aerospace supply chain accommodating oversized parts for the 747, 767, 777 and 777X production lines. The restoration added 1,000 lineal feet of beach material on the east side of the terminal, while also enhancing beach access with paths, benches, picnic tables and a parking lot. The restoration proved to be an environmental success when environmental review determined the site to be flourishing with juvenile salmon, forage fish and numerous water birds shortly after completion.
Pigeon Creek Beach
Open daily; closed dusk - dawn
A unique waterfront view exists on the southern end of the Port of Everett at Pigeon Creek Beach and Viewpoint. To access the park, visitors must take a short one-mile trek by foot or bike along the Port’s Pigeon Creek Trail. The trail parallels the Port of Everett Seaport, offering a glimpse into international shipping operations as you make your way to the beach. The park offers a breathtaking view overlooking the serene saltwater beach and picnic tables, so don’t forget to pack a lunch!
