Beaches
Yes, that's right, we said it, beaches! The Port of Everett waterfront boasts nearly three total miles of beach front between its three man-made beaches located between the Port of Everett and neighboring Mukilteo waterfronts. Wiggle your toes in the sand, while you enjoy the wind, wave and warm, shallow waters at the Port-owned Jetty Island. This hidden gem is the longest sandy beach in the Puget Sound offering two-miles of beach to explore.
Head south, just beyond the Port's international shipping terminals and you will find Pigeon Creek Beach with viewpoints and picnic benches. Even further south, at the south Everett/Mukilteo boarder, explore the rocky, natural habitat beach known as Edgewater Beach.
Parks & Plazas
The Port’s expansive public parks and open spaces offers great amenities for the whole community. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the waterfront, dust off that old frisbee, or get your kite flying. These waterfront areas remain accessible dawn to dusk for responsible public use, with public restrooms in walking distance and convenient parking close by.
With over six park locations at the waterfront there is a space everyone can enjoy!
Trails
The Port of Everett offers miles of waterfront walkways stretching from the Port’s South Terminal to the Union Slough mitigation site. The Port's waterfront public access trail system consists of a nearly four-mile pathway located between 10th and 18th streets along West Marine View Drive. It provides pedestrian access throughout the marina facilities along the beautiful Port of Everett waterfront. Along the way, keep an eye out for wildlife, you never know what you'll see!
Any history buffs out there? The trail also pays tribute to Everett’s milltown past with nine historic interpretive
signs and exhibits along the way showcasing the rich history of lumber and shingle mills, commercial fishing and boat building industries along the waterfront. Stop and connect with site history, or make it an activity for the whole family!
Kiteboarding
SPRING & SUMMER MONTHs (weather permitting); WEST SIDE OF JETTY ISLAND
Wind, waves and shallow sandy beaches make up the perfect recipe for the extreme sport of kiteboarding, and guess what, the Port of Everett offers just that at Jetty Island. You can access Jetty Island year-round by boat or personal watercraft, or you can catch a foot ferry ride to the island during Jetty Island Days (July 5 thru Labor Day).

Fishing & Crabbing
Looking for a great place to cast your line or set your crab pots? The Port of Everett Marina offers on-site fishing docks in at the Marina uplands in Everett and another fishing dock at the Mukilteo waterfront near the new Washington State Ferries terminal.
The Port of Everett Marina also offers a hassle-free 13-lane boat launch - the largest public boat launch in Washington state - providing direct access to the best fishing, crabbing and shrimping in the North Puget Sound. If you like to make a sport out of it, join in one of the fishing or crabbing derbies throughout the open seasons.
Events & Activities
The Port of Everett waterfront is home to 75+ events each year featuring everything from annual walks for a cause, tour programs and Jetty Island Days, to concerts, art festivals, car shows and more!
These juried events and activities bring a vibrancy to the waterfront, attracting the more than 100,000 visitors annually.
Outdoor Movies
If you like FREE outdoor movies, you're going to love the Port of Everett's Sail-in Cinema outdoor movie series. This summer movie series takes place on Friday nights from mid-July thru August. You can sail-in to watch by boat at the Port's North Guest Docks 6 & 7 (first come, first served), or watch by land at Boxcar Park.
The park opens one hour before showtime. Come early to snag the best good spot and grab a bag of free fresh-popped popcorn courtesy of the Port of Everett. Enjoy available movie concession items for a fee. If you are 21+, you can enjoy the movie with an adult beverage the Sail-in Cinema beer garden.
Waterfront Concerts
Music and waterfront view pair perfectly together!
Throughout the summer months, find yourself at the waterfront to enjoy a variety of music, whether its Scuttlebutt Brewing Company and Everett Music Initiative's Rock the Boat Music Festival, a blues concert competition or the ever-popular City of Everett Cultural Arts Music at the Marina summer concert series.
Port Tours
The Port of Everett offers community members and area visitors opportunities to explore the Port of Everett waterfront in unique ways! During the spring and summer month the Port offers tours by land AND sea to checkout the inner workings of the Port's balanced working and recreational waterfronts.
Port of Everett FREE Bus Tours take you on a ride into the Port's international shipping facilities, throughout the marina and Waterfront Place development and more. The Port's FREE Working Waterfront Harbor Tours provide another unique experience aboard the 60-passenger Jetty Island Ferry with a tour guide pointing out all the unique attractions and developments at the recreational waterfront before heading to past Naval Station Everett and into the Port's international shipping facilities to see ships and cargo operations in action.
Bird & Wildlife Watching
The Port of Everett waterfront is abundant with bird and wildlife viewing opportunities. Nearly every park, trail or viewpoint offers an opportunity to view a variety of shorebirds, seals, sealions, whales, salmon and more. You’re in for a treat when you visit the Port’s Jetty Island (accessible by boat) or Union Slough Saltmarsh.
Pro tip: Look, don’t touch, and use that handy zoom feature on your camera so you don’t need to get too close.
