Port of Everett On-the-Water Tour Series Returns This Summer
Now Booking Working Waterfront & Throwback Thursday Harbor Tour Options
Reservations are now open for the Port of Everett’s popular waterfront Harbor Tour series.
This summer, the Port is once again offering on-the-water, community sails on select Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August, including four “Working Waterfront” and five “Throwback Thursday” tour options.
Both sets of tours are aboard the Jetty Island ferry and provide a fun and educational waterfront experience.
This is a chance to hear about the diverse roles the Port of Everett plays at the both the working and recreational waterfronts, and the value it brings throughout the region. Riders can sneak a peek into cargo operations and hear from local historians about the rich history of the Everett waterfront.
Working Waterfront Harbor Tours
Want to learn what the Port of Everett does and get a unique view into waterfront operations? Book a spot on one of four returning Port of Everett “Working Waterfront” Harbor Tours available Wednesday evenings on July 12 and 26, and Aug. 9 and 23.
This tour explores the diverse roles the Port of Everett plays on the waterfront, from the operation of its international seaport, the largest public marina on the West Coast, and commercial and industrial real estate developments, to environmental stewardship, public access and more.
You’ll get a chance to see cargo operations in action and hear about the new mixed-use amenities coming to the destination waterfront.
Throwback Thursday Harbor Tours
Are you a history buff? The Port is partnering once again with Historic Everett to offer “Throwback Thursday” Historic Everett Waterfront Harbor Tours. Book a spot for one of five Thursday evenings, available on July 6 and 20, and Aug. 3, 17 and 31.
This tour covers local history dating back to Everett’s former mill town days, when lumber and shingle mills lined the bay, and commercial fishing, boat building and maritime industries emerged at the Everett waterfront.
An Everett historian will point out where many of these long-gone businesses operated decades ago and their impact on Everett’s economy.
Reservations are required for each Harbor Tour. Cost is $5 (plus applicable taxes and fees) per person. Children 2 and under ride free, but still need a reservation. Each tour is limited to 60 spots.
The foot ferry boards at the Jetty Landing Dock, at 10th Street and West Marine View Drive at 5:45 p.m. for each of the one-hour tours that take place from 6-7 p.m.
